New KaleidoSim Features Learn more about our awesome features designed to lift your workflows to the cloud !
Our entire platform is designed by CFD-Engineers that are using KaleidoSim for their daily business. We can therefore guarantee simple , seamless and secure cloud access !
Feature update: Latest Version of OpenFOAM released (November 16th, 2021)
At KaleidoSim, we believe in never stopping!
We proudly announce that OpenFOAM version 8 and brand new OpenFOAM version 9 are available via KaleidoSim so that we can always support new features of simulations tools.
A Kaleidoscope unlike any other
The revolutionary cloud based KaleidoSim software can help you to create a Kaleidoscope for your simulations: Simulate 100s of cases simultaneously in breathtaking speed. Deepening your insight, increasing your understanding and allowing you to examine every angle of any simulated scenario. Video courtesy of ZHAW/ICP.
Automate Paraview post-processing
Wondering how to automate Paraview post-processing using KaleidoSim cloud software ?
In this tutorial video, Prof. G. Boiger of ICP -Institute of Computational Physics , ZHAW -Zurich University of Applied Sciences, demonstrates how to activate Paraview’s ‘Python Trace’ function to record, modify, upload and run a Python script in the cloud. The script operated paraview in batch-mode and thus automatically visualizes simulation results and creates screenshots.

Self-compile
In this video Prof. G. Boiger of ICP -Institute of Computational Physics , ZHAW -Zurich University of Applied Sciences, shows how to compile and run custom OpenFOAM solvers in the cloud using KaleidoSim.
Kaleidoscope
The R&D cooperation between ZHAW/ICP and KaleidoSim has resulted in the release of the latest Kaleidoscope feature within KaleidoSim cloud platform, advancing the benefits of MSCC (Massive Simultaneous Cloud Computing). Extremely large parameter studies consisting of 100s of OpenFOAM simulation cases can now be generated, run and evaluated simultaneously in the cloud. This capability was designed to produce very large amounts of simulation data in extraordinarily short amounts of time.

Motorbiker and 42 angles of attack using MSCC via KaleidoSim
Using first pimpleFoam for show then simpleFoam, the Motorbiker’s aerodynamic properties were investigated, courtesy of ZHAW ICP. The mesh of this classic OpenFOAM tutorial case was refined up to 1.6 Mio. cells. The angle of attack of onsetting wind-velocity as well as the whole flow channel was rotated over 42 different angles. The whole study comprising 42 cloud-based machines-16 cores each, took no more than 10 minutes to finish, thanks to MSCC (Massive Simultaneous Cloud Computing) functionality of KaleidoSim.
Katana Downloader
Become your Simulation Samurai and slice and dice your downloaded data. Say goodbye to terabytes of data and pick what you need with our Katana Downloader. Katana Downloader allows the user to selectively download the exact data they require out of any series of produced files, no matter the size of the simulation series the user might have conducted.
